Student Debt Stories

As a way to bring this national situation down to a personal level, we’re starting a new blog series called “Student Debt Stories.”

The student debt crisis is not some faceless, theoretical, abstract problem. It affects real people — and statistically, you or someone you know. You simply can’t have a $1.6-trillion load on our economy without it impacting nearly every American, directly or indirectly.

So, we’re now accepting entries for “Student Debt Stories.”

How has your student debt badly affected your life? How has it changed your goals? What has it made you regret? And on the positive side, what great things would be possible in your life if your student debt were reduced or gone?

Let us know!

If you’re willing to share a video, that’s great. Audio is fine, too. And of course, we happily accept your stories in writing. However you choose to submit, be as heartfelt and honest as you can. (But you can remain anonymous, if you’d like — just let us know.)

As you think about what you’ll say, think of this: What do I want people to know about the true impact of student debt on our society?

We accept your submissions via email at Mailbox at StudentDebtScholarship dot-org.

If we decide to publish your story, you’ll be contacted first for confirmation and approval.

Thanks for helping by playing a part in this important aspect of our work!
